Return to the Archclericy of Veluna's home page

Our valley is very pastoral producing for much of our own needs with enough left to sell outside Veluna. The primary exports are precious minerals like gold, silver and copper and foodstuffs such as grain and livestock. The geography of Veluna is not high drama. The low worn Lortmils gradually crumble into the sharp ridged, windswept Lorridges. These hills are cut by the Fals River on it's trip to the Velverdyva. From the river the Northern Lorridges continues by turning north-east and springing into the high impassable Yatil Mountains. These great mountain regions support communities of miners extracting the ore for Veluna.

The clouds spill their rain upon these mountains and into the lush farmland and forests. The soil between the mountain and the river is some of the richest in the Flanaess with heavy spring storms and hot summer days. The hard work of the peasants support a stable life with much to be grateful for. Forests once covered most of Veluna before being used to build the great cities. The Dapple Woods were once the lairs of bugbears or worse. Knights and militiamen hunted them down without mercy. Black Bears, wild dogs, poisonous snakes and giant porcupines are the only real threats now. The fog shrouded Iron Woods separate Devarnish from Verbobonc. The Iron Road leads through the roanwood, yarpick (daggerthorn), and ipp trees for many miles. The Asnath Corpse houses many stories of the unseen mysteries lying at it's oaken heart.
