The Veluna Meta-Campaign Sourcebook (VMCS) is the official authority on meta-organizations in Veluna. For convenience, a small overview of the information in VMCS is presented here. For details, consult the most current version of VMCS. The membership certificates for Veluna meta-organizations provide official regional documentation of membership benefits.
In all of the major cities of Veluna signs have begun appearing on signposts and message boards:
Many of the citizens of Veluna care deeply about the fate of their nation. Like-minded individuals have banded together into groups to unite their efforts to steer Veluna on the right course. (Few if any of these groups have ever agreed on what that "right" course is, but don't tell them that.) By their valor and judgment, these groups have earned honor and prestige in the Archclericy of Veluna. Meanwhile, below decks, there are also more than a few Velunans who are just trying to preserve their way of life as the great waves of history pound against the hull. Some of them have also united in common cause, figuring that they have a better chance of staying afloat if they all pull together. Veluna adventures often give members of these various groups special chances to influence the outcome of important events.

Characters in Veluna can join meta-orgs during play. Each meta-org has its own individual entrance requirements, most of which can only be met by characters with a few adventures under their belt. See VMCS. A few of the groups, such as the various Churches, do allow new characters to begin play as members. Some organizations have multiple levels of membership, apprenticeship programs, residency requirements, special invitations, or quests that applicants must complete; the VMCS knows all.
To sign up, follow these steps: (1) find an organization that fits your character's beliefs and goals; (2) adventure until your character meets the requirements stated in VMCS; (3) download the regional documentation (cert) for the meta-org your character wishes to join; (4) pay any time unit, gold, or other cost required for membership; and (5) get it signed by the appropriate authority listed in VMCS – usually the judge at your next table.
If you have questions, direct them to the helpful folks on one of Veluna's email lists, contact the individual coordinator listed in VMCS for that meta-org, or contact the triad member responsible for meta-orgs.
Veluna's neighboring regions have their own meta-organizations that fit within the story lines and circumstances of their own nations. Some of them may allow Veluna citizens to participate. Your character may even find that a foreign organization is so worthy of his or her time and support that he or she decides to move to that region to join up. Loyal Velunans frown upon such shifting allegiances, but consult the LGCS if your character feels the tug of wanderlust.
