eluna has indeed been blessed by Rao with a not-too-long
line of serene, reasonable, and dedicated public servants who have fulfilled the roll of triad with distinction.

If you are ordering any Veluna Regional Modules or VTF Meta-regional modules for play in Veluna, you must e-mail poc@veluna.net for the PDFs of these modules, the passwords to the PDFs, and the ARs for the mods. Please include your Ordering code and dates and what modules you need the ARs for. Also only the con coordinator may receive these modules. Thank you.
What does the triad do? In short, the Veluna triad runs Veluna. They facilitate gaming in the region of Veluna in much the same way that a DM facilitates gaming at a table. They determine the direction of the regional campaign, set regional policy, answer player questions, plan the region's plot lines, set the module publishing schedule, organize module authors (more often than not writing many of the modules themselves), edit modules, distribute modules, advise convention coordinators, approve the creation of meta-organizations, and organize other volunteers. They speak for the region to the meta-regional administrator and to campaign administration and they implement campaign administration policy in the region of Veluna.
What do they receive in exchange for all this hard work? Not much. They must reside in the real world within the region (for Veluna, that's the State of Ohio). They are barred from playing Veluna adventures (and in some cases VTF adventures as well) or from having LG characters native to Veluna. However, they do get to act as custodians for all of Veluna's lands and NPCs. Most importantly, though, the bad guys work for them!
Being a triad member requires far more than just rules knowledge. You must have the skills to communicate with others. You need to be able to take direction and give direction. You must have good judgment. The division of work between triad members is largely up to the current triad, so some triad members do more writing, while others do more organizing and other tasks. The triad system was chosen at the outset of the campaign to assure continuity of leadership in the regions and to provide a mechanism for taking up the slack during those inevitable periods when real-life demands prevent a particular triad member from giving the campaign the regular attention it needs. The triad system also has the advantage of helping to cover large real-world geographic regions with less time spent travelling.
Think you've got the right stuff to be a triad member? Then volunteer now! Get to know the people you're considering working with. Develop your skills. Triad positions do come open from time to time (for example when a current triad member moves out of state). The more you get involved right now, the better you'll understand what the job is about and the better you'll be prepared to do it if an opportunity arises.
